Inventory & QR Labels

Track gear you own, where it lives, and what's allocated to which project.

Assets and locations

Inventory tracks physical units you own — assets — each with a status and, optionally, a location (a shelf, a case, a warehouse bay). An asset can carry its own tag number and serial number for physical tracking.

Status, Condition, and Location are editable right on each row in the Inventory list — click the value and change it, no need to open the asset first.

Receiving fills Inventory automatically

Mark a Purchase line Received on a project and it doesn't just update that line — it creates an Inventory asset for it too, tagged Uncategorized and ready for you to sort, so gear doesn't slip through the cracks between "bought" and "tracked". Already have an asset for that exact line? Nothing duplicates.

Condition guesses itself where it reasonably can: a line bought from a retail vendor (Amazon and similar) is set to New automatically; one from a used marketplace (eBay, Craigslist, and similar) is left for you to set by hand.

Allocating to a project

  1. 1On a project's buying sheet, set a line's acquisition mode to Owned.
  2. 2Allocate an available asset to that line from Inventory.
  3. 3The line's status moves to Claimed; the asset is now tied to that project until it's returned.

Printable QR labels

Every asset has a Print Label action that opens a printable page with a QR code linking straight to that asset's detail page — scan it during load-in or a pull to jump right to its status and location, no searching.
